Common Questions

FAQ

Everything couples usually ask us, gathered in one place. Can't find your answer? Book a call or send us an enquiry.

Do you charge travel fees?

No. We travel UK wide (excluding Ireland) with no travel fees attached, wherever you've chosen to say "I do."

What's the difference between the two packages?

Photography (£1,100) covers up to 9 hours of photography, prep to first dance, with a full online gallery. Photography & Film (£1,599) includes everything in Photography, plus your full ceremony and speeches captured on film — a complete film with audio, start to finish.

How many hours of coverage do we get?

Up to 9 hours, from getting ready through to your first dance, included in both packages.

Do you only shoot documentary-style, or can we have posed photos too?

We're candid and documentary-led by default, with coverage unposed throughout the day. Fancy posed couple portraits or group shots too? Just let us know on your pre-wedding questionnaire and we'll set aside time for them on the day — a heads-up beforehand means we can make sure it happens. A lot of the photos in our galleries are from couples who asked for exactly that.

How quickly will we see any photos or film?

Full galleries are delivered within 11 weeks for Photography, and within 16 weeks for Photography & Film — both season dependent. Galleries are delivered as high-resolution JPEGs (we don't provide RAW files) and stay live online for 3 months, so we always recommend downloading and backing up your files as soon as they arrive.

What add-ons can we book?

Content Creation (£350, up to 6 hours of coverage with all RAW footage and two edited clips supplied), a Highlight Film (£350, including drone footage where weather and venue allow), an Extra Photographer (£350), and a Luxury Photo Book designed in-house from your chosen photos (from £139).

Is drone footage included in my package?

Drone footage isn't included as standard in either package — it's part of our Highlight Film add-on (£350), subject to venue permission and safe weather conditions on the day.

Is the ceremony & speeches film raw footage, or a finished video?

The film included in our Photography & Film package is a complete, finished film — not raw or unprocessed footage. It's the full ceremony and speeches, filmed start to finish with synced audio and delivered as one continuous video, ready to watch. It isn't trimmed down or set to music like a highlight reel — if you'd like that polished, cinematic edit of your whole day, that's what our Highlight Film add-on is for.

Do you travel outside Yorkshire?

Absolutely — anywhere in the UK. Barns, warehouses, hotels, beaches, forests, rooftops and stately homes across England, and we also cover Scotland — we got married in Glencoe ourselves, so Scottish elopements and weddings are close to our hearts too.

Who will actually be there on the day?

Usually John or Christie — we're husband and wife, and for our Photography & Film package one of us leads your day as your dedicated photographer and videographer, covering both roles. If you've booked our Highlight Film add-on, we're both there together, John behind the camera as photographer and Christie directing the story as videographer. On the rare occasion the person booked can't make it (illness or an emergency), we'll send a fully briefed photographer and/or videographer from our trusted network so your day is still covered.

Can a friend or another photographer join in and take photos too?

We ask that no one else — a friend, family member, or another hired photographer, videographer or content creator — formally covers your day alongside us, paid or not. It protects the documentary style you've booked us for, and it's a condition of booking covered in full in our Terms & Conditions. Guests taking photos on their own phones for personal use is completely fine — we just ask that nobody else is engaged to document the day professionally.

Are you insured?

Yes — we're fully insured with public liability and equipment cover, so if your venue needs proof of insurance, that's one less thing to worry about.

Do you need feeding on the day?

Yes please — it's one of the few things we ask for. A hot meal (gluten-free, as that's our dietary requirement) and soft drinks at some point during the day keeps us going from prep to first dance, ideally no later than when your wedding breakfast is served — just flag the gluten-free requirement with your venue or caterer in advance and it's one less thing to think about. If a meal isn't available, we may need to nip off briefly to sort our own, meaning a short gap in coverage, so it's easiest for everyone if it's arranged ahead of time.

Anything else we should know about looking after you on the day?

Just full disclosure really — we are completely, unreasonably obsessed with chocolate. This absolutely isn't an expectation, so please don't feel you need to sort us anything — but if a couple happens to leave a stray bar of chocolate lying around for us, it will not go to waste.

What happens if the weather's bad on the day?

We've shot in wind, rain and Scottish drizzle and some of our favourite images have come from exactly those conditions. Drone footage (available with our Highlight Film add-on) depends on safe weather, but photography and film coverage go ahead whatever the forecast — we'll simply adapt where we shoot.

How far in advance should we book?

As soon as you have a date and venue confirmed, ideally. We only take on one wedding per day, so popular dates — especially spring and summer Saturdays — can book up 12 months or more ahead.

How do we book, or find out if we're a good fit?

Start with a short call — no obligation, just a chance to talk through your day and see if we're right for each other. Or send us an enquiry directly and we'll come back to you with availability.

Where can I read your Terms & Conditions?

We send our full Terms & Conditions with your quotation, before we ever ask for payment, so you've got plenty of time to read through everything in your own time. You can also read them any time on our Terms & Conditions page — they cover things like the £300 booking fee, payment dates, cancellations, and how we handle posed portraits.
